The Japanese Hippie Doomsday Cult doesn’t own a serger, sad to say. We get by just fine with a Sears brand sewing machine from a garage sale. Yep.
If I like the Straight-cut Tiered Skirt from Happy Homemade Sew Chic – like it enough to make the skirt a cult uniform staple – I think I’ll buy one. The skirt would go together in an hour with a serger. Without, we’re stuck with a regular machine overlock stitch.
Sigh. Still, here are the tiers, all assembled and ready for the next step:
At the top is the over skirt, made of cotton lawn, and then baby tier, mama tier and daddy tier at the bottom.
